Artist Biography
My name is Liam Hollinger and am an artist based on the Tweed border (Bundjalung). I work predominately in landscape and abstract art. I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Griffith University in 2017, since then I have had two group exhibitions and two solo exhibitions including “Too Human” and “Forlorn Vulture.” I was awarded a book prize from QAGOMA for best presentation at the graduation (Griffith university), I was also awarded best oil painting at the Brisbane Rotary Art Spectacular in 2019. My practise involves comparing the complexities in painting with social engagements. Some of my influences stem from the post-impressionists and cubist periods, artists like Paul Cezanne and George Braque. Also, Australian Artist such as Kevin Lincoln and Russell Drysdale have been a major influence on my practise.
